Kayla Elizabeth Evans, APRN, AGACNP-BC

After earning her biochemistry degree, Kayla Evans immediately fell in love with the science behind how the human body works and being able to solve problems that can arise within the body. She pursued her nursing degree and worked for more than five years in the field as a critical care registered nurse before pursuing her advanced degree and certification as an adult-gerontology acute care nurse practitioner in 2023.

In addition to her critical care experience, Kayla is clinically trained in pulmonology, neurology and trauma ICU. Her areas of special focus include stroke care and diagnostic testing in the various disciplines. Kayla earned her bachelor's degree in nursing from Saint Francis College of Nursing in Peoria, Ill. She earned her master’s degree in nursing while attending the Texas Tech University Health Science Center in Lubbock.
