Bio
Dr. Courtney Cartier is a board-certified general surgeon with specialized training in foregut and advanced gastrointestinal surgery. Her areas of focus include surgical care for acute GI disorders and GI cancers using robotic-assisted and endoscopic techniques, LINX and transoral incisionless fundoplication (TIF) surgeries for reflux, and bariatric/metabolic procedures.
Dr. Cartier earned her medical degree in 2017 from the New York Institute of Technology College of Osteopathic Medicine in Old Westbury, N.Y. She completed her general surgery residency at the New York University Langone Brooklyn Hospital. Dr. Cartier went on to complete her foregut/advanced GI surgery fellowship at Providence Portland Medical Center/The Oregon Clinic. She is a former student athlete and native of the State of New York. She set down roots in North Texas in 2023.
Dr. Cartier is a member of numerous organizations in the field of surgery, including the American College of Osteopathic Surgeons, American College of Surgeons, American Foregut Society, Americas Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary Association, Association of Women Surgeons, and Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons.
