James Lloyd Hartgraves, PA-C

James Hartgraves has worked in the medical field since 2013. He previously served as a medical assistant in the Dallas-Fort Worth area before earning his certification as a physician assistant in 2022. James is clinically trained as a physician assistant in a variety of disciplines, including orthopedic surgery, general surgery and internal medicine. He has assisted in the operating room on robotic-assisted total knee and hip replacements, ACL reconstruction and joint arthroscopy. He is also experienced in joint injection therapies and sports medicine care.

James earned his undergraduate degree in medical humanities while attending Baylor University in Waco, Texas. He went on to complete two master’s programs, earning a degree in medical science at the University of North Texas Health Science Center in Fort Worth and his Master of Physician Assistant Studies at Hardin Simmons University in Abilene, Texas. James is an avid volunteer, having previously served the Tarrant County Big Brothers Big Sisters organization and Boots on the Ground Ministry in Abilene among others. He is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants, American Association of Surgical Physician Assistants, Physician Assistants in Orthopedic Surgery and Texas Academy of Physician Assistants.
