Bio
Dr. Saira Samani is a fellowship-trained interventional cardiologist with board certifications in nuclear cardiology, echocardiography and cardiovascular computed tomography. She is also a Registered Physician in Vascular Interpretation qualified to access blood flow using vascular ultrasound imaging. As a skilled interventional cardiologist, Dr. Samani also uses catheter-based procedures to treat common and complex heart valve and vascular diseases. Her other areas of focus include the management of heart rhythm disorders and heart health in women.
Dr. Samani earned her medical degree in Karachi, Pakistan. She completed her internal medicine residency at Mount Auburn Hospital in Cambridge, Mass., serving as chief resident in her final year. She went on to complete her cardiology fellowship at the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque and her interventional cardiology fellowship at Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla, N.Y. Dr. Samani previously served for three years as an instructor in medicine at Harvard Medical School in Boston before working as an interventional cardiologist within the Ochsner Health System in Louisiana beginning in 2019. She set down roots in North Texas in 2023.
Dr. Samani is a member of the American College of Cardiology and the American Heart Association. She is fluent in the Urdu language.
